In 1992, Layout became a QuarkXPress XTensions
developer. Layout has developed an Arabic solution for QuarkXPress and in
1993, and was appointed QuarkXPress Distributor for the Middle East. In
1996, Layout became Quark's Publishing System Integrator for the Middle
East and installed its first QPS (Quark Publishing System™) at The
Daily Star newspaper in Beirut.
From its home office in Beirut and through its chain of dealers throughout
the Middle East, Layout markets its desktop publishing products and acts
as a regional sales and support center for all the DTP product line it develops
and distributes.
Layout's dealers are found in Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon,
Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, and the United Arab
Emirates.
Given the increasing demand for Arabic Desktop Publishing outside the Arab
